Marianna M. McGowan is a Director and Shareholder with Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd & Hullett, P.C. Mari’s practice focuses on employment law representation for governmental entities and private employers and general school law matters including, but not limited to, issues regarding employment/personnel, employment investigations, employee leave / disability claims, Board representation, governance, open meetings, open records, student issues, special education / Section 504, contracts, and detachment/annexation. She has experience representing clients in internal and external investigations, administrative hearings and proceedings, and general administration matters. Mari’s investigation practice assists clients with performing prompt and thorough investigation of employee claims and Human Resources issues to provide fair and unbiased findings with supporting evidence and legal analysis. Mari is certified in Employee Relations and Investigations through Cornell University. Marianna serves as the Firm’s Board President.
