Tracy A. Pounders
Profile
Tracy Pounders is a Director of the Tax Division of the Firm. He represents the Firm’s taxing unit clients in the collection of their delinquent ad valorem taxes and related issues. He has extensive experience in this area, representing a diverse client base of taxing units in North Texas since 2002. He has a wide range of experience in litigation, settlements, administrative remedies, and taxpayer relations. Prior to starting his ad valorem taxation practice he was a Dallas Assistant City Attorney for 14 years. During that time he resolved a wide range of municipal legal issues, both in court and in the board room, and negotiated many high profile contracts for the City of Dallas including the move of the NHL Stars to Dallas.

Mr. Pounders strives to be a servant-leader for the community. He’s currently the Immediate Past President of the Collin County Chapter of the Texas Association of Assessing Officers, Current State Staff Secretary and Past State Chancellor for the Texas Society Sons of the American Revolution, Vice Chancellor for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas, Past Chairman of the Dallas County Trails and Preserve Board, a Past President of the Dallas Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, a retired Municipal Court Judge (Cedar Hill and Grand Prairie), Past Chairman of the Dallas Bar Association Sports and Entertainment Law Section, Past President of the Cedar Hill Community Development Board, Past President of the Northpark Garden Townhomes Homeowners Association, and Past Senior Warden of the Canterbury House Episcopal Chapel at SMU. Additionally, he currently serves on the boards of the following charities: Ascension Day School in Dallas, Aventura Homeowners Association in Addison, Community ISD Education Foundation, Melissa Education Foundation, Prosper Chamber of Commerce, The Extra Dimension, Inc. Cedar Hill ISD Education Foundation, and Prosper Historical Society. And he has served as one or more officers for the Cedar Hill ISD Education Foundation, the Wylie ISD Education Foundation, the Dallas Jaycees, the Cedar Hill Park Board, the Cedar Hill Association for the Cultural Arts, and other charities.
